Draka Buffer Tube Access Tool Kit (includes tool, carry case, inserts, spare blade and spare head screw).

This tool is designed for midspan entry to fibers in a multiple of buffer tube sizes. The tool shaves only the tube wall to access the fibers providing a safe, reliable access.

The tool kit includes interchangeable inserts supporting 2.5mm, 2.7mm and 3.0mm buffer tubes. Other tube insert sizes available from 1.5mm to 4.3mm at additional cost.

Revolutionary tool provides quick, easy access to fibers every time, even in the hands of inexperienced installers. The precision-ground blade and special inserts hold buffer tube firmly in place in shaving channel. This ensures cutting of tube wall only and not fibers.

An Alcatel study showed that some commonly available tools damaged over 97% of fibers in buffer tubes they were designed to access. Model 6652 caused virtually no fiber damage of any kind.

The tool's planing action keeps the buffer tube gel contained, providing cleaner access. Features thick-gauge steel alloy construction and a hardshell case for years of continuous field use.

Supports buffer tube sizes from 1.5 mm to 4.3 mm with six, 12 and 24 fibers per tube. Inserts support a wide variety of buffer tube diameters and fiber counts.

Includes hand tool, fiber spatula, spare socket head screw, allen wrench, spare blade and three inserts (2.5 mm/12 fiber, 2.8 mm/12 fiber, 3 mm/12 fiber) in a carrying case. The 2-pound kit measures 9 x 10.5 x 2.
