1x8 MEMS Optical Switches


Fiber-Online's 1x8 MEMS Bi-directional Fiber Optical switch, based on Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) technology, is a compact optical switch which connect optical channels by redirecting 1 incoming optical signals into 8 selected output fibers. The switching state is highly stable against environmental variations of temperature and vibration due to its unique design. This novel design significantly reduces packaging requirement, and simplifies driving electronics, offering unprecedented high stability as well as an unmatched low cost.

Fiber-Online offers most affordable high performance MEMS optical switches. The MEMS technology offers extremely low electrical power consumption, high durability (> 1x10^9 cycles), no stiction, and high resistance to shock & vibration. Laser welded assembly ensures repeatability and ruggedness in field applications. Our MEMS Switches are tested in-house prior to shipment to guarantee that they will arrive in perfect physical and working condition. Currently configurations includes 1x4, 1x8 and 1x16 configurations for single-mode or multimode fibers, available in either latching or non latching variants.

This series of switches is designed to meet the most demanding Carrier-class and out-door optical switching applications.

* Delivery Time.

We need 1-2 days to process your order before shipping. There are two shipping methoed.

* Lost Package Policy.

If a package did not arrive in 2 weeks after the shipping date, then this package is treated as Lost. In this case a new package will be shipped to the customer provided we are able to give the same items as those purchased by the customer. If we are not able to provide the same items to substitute the lost ones we will either propose to the customer similar items or refund their cost as it will be mutually agree with the customer. If one or more items neither the same nor similar are available to be shipped, the customer can request to cancel the order entirely, thus the total cost of the order including shipping and handling cost will be fully refunded.
